All of us know about fake profiles and people pretending to be someone they are not.

We are therefore offering you a service to verify yourself and that way show everyone that the pictures you are displaying are indeed of you and not of someone else.

We are offering this service free of charge to all of our members. Once the process is completed you will see a validation stamp like the one seen on top of this page on your profile. It will be valid for the lifetime of your account, regardless of whether you have a free membership or a premium membership.

This is how it works (read everything before e-mailing us!):

• If you have a profile with pictures email us with a request to get verified.
• In this e-mail please attach a picture of yourself holding a sheet of paper on which you write down your userID and the word "leatherguys".
• The userID and "leatherguys" must be clearly visible.
• The picture must show something that is also visible on the other pictures you have on your profile, like for instance a face shot, a scar, a birthmark, the same clothing/gear.
• Email the picture to us and we’ll do the rest (send to ).
• We will not publish that picture, so don't worry - it will not show up on the site!

The picture must show some identifying mark which is also visible on the other pictures you have, such as a tattoo, mole, scar, face shot etc. Both code and mark must be clearly visible. We will not post your verification picture on the website.

While we believe this system to be a good way to eliminate some fakes we cannot offer a 100% guarantee as there are always some people who try to find a way around it. We always encourage you to use common sense when meeting new people.

Es ist ziemlich üblich auf dem Internet und wir alle kennen das - jemand behauptet, dass die Bilder auf seinem Profile wirklich von ihm sind, obwohl das nicht stimmt.

Aus dem Grund bieten wir Dir ein Service an, in dem Du bestätigen kannst, dass die Bilder, die auf Deinem Profil erscheinen, nun auch wirklich von Dir sind.

Wir bieten diesen Service kostenlos an alle unsere Mitglieder an. Sobald der Vorgang beendet ist, erscheint das Logo, das Du in der Ecke rechts oben sehen kannst, auf Deinem Profil.

So funktioniert es:

• Wenn Du ein Profil mit Fotos hast, sende uns eine E-Mail mit der Bitte um Profilbestätigung.
• Schicke uns in dieser E-Mail bitte ein Foto von Dir, worauf ausser Dir auch ein Zettel sichtbar ist, auf dem Du Dein Profilname sowie das Wort "leatherguys" angibst.
• Diese zwei Wörter - Mitgliedsname und "leatherguys" - müssen für uns gut lesbar sein.
• Das Bild, das Du uns schickst, muss besondere Merkmale vorweisen, die auch auf den anderen Bildern sichtbar sind, wie z.B., Dein Gesicht, eine Narbe, ein Muttermal oder dieselbe Bekleidung.
• Schicke uns das Erforderte per E-Mail an und wir kümmern uns um den Rest.
• Vir versichern, dass wir das Foto nicht auf der Site aufladen. Mache Dir deswegen keine Gedanken, dass es auf Deinem Profil auftaucht.

Wir sind der Meinung, dass dieses System gut ist, um das Auftauchen falscher Profile zu verringern, obwohl das natuerlich nicht immer hundertprozentig klappt. Aus dem Grund solltest Du immer vorsichtig sein, wenn Du planst, Leute zu treffen oder mit denen zu korrespondieren, die Du nicht kennst.

Es muy común ver perfiles en todo el Internet que tienen fotos falsas, o sea, de personas distintas a la persona quien los exhibe.

Es por eso que ofrecemos un servicio, con lo cual puedes mostrar a todos los miembros que las fotos que exhibes realmente son tuyas.

Este servicio de verificación ofrecemos a todos nuestros miembros – sin costo. Una vez procesada la solicitud de verificación aparecerá en tu perfil el logotipo que ves en el rincón superior. Este logotipo sigue en tu perfil mientras que lo mantengas en buena orden.

Así es como funciona todo eso:

• Si tienes un perfil con fotos, envíanos un e-mail solicitando la verificación.
• En aquel e-mail debes adjuntar una foto tuya en la cual también aparece un papel con tu nombre (el nombre/la palabra con la cual entras al sitio) y, además, el nombre del sitio “leatherguys”.
• Lo que escribiste en el papel debe ser bien legible.
• La foto debe mostrar algo que aparece en las demás fotos tuyas, tal por ejemplo: tu cara, una cicatriz, o tal vez el mismo traje que llevas en las fotos.
• Envíanos la foto a y nosotros nos encargamos con lo que queda que hacer.
• Quedas asegurado que no publicamos la foto, ni que aparecerá en tu perfil.

Estamos convencidos que este sistema puede reducir la cantidad de los perfiles falsos que aparecen por el Internet. No obstante, siempre recomendamos que tengas cuidado cuando conoces a alguien nuevo por primera vez.
